This movement:
Supports the aims of Occupy the Buffer Zone
Is independent from all political parties
Is a people’s movement and there is no hierarchy among members. Every member is encouraged to initiate, organise and circulate events and information with members.

Monday, 5 December 2011 from 2:00pm onwards - St. Paul’s for video recording and talking to people there about the OBZ in UK. Feel free to email other members about meeting up at St. Paul’s
Thursday, 8 December 2011 at 5:00pm-6:30pm at Hackney Cypriot Community Centre (same location as first meeting): Meeting for discussing setting up a tent at St Paul’s and to organise future workshops.

Getting involved in the global occupy movement at St. Paul’s in London:
Video recording of messages of solidarity from people at the Occupy movement in St. Paul’s to be sent to RV.
Potentially setting up a tent to represent the Occupy the Buffer Zone movement in Cyprus.

Discussed reasons for and against linking the OBZ movement with the global occupy movement at St. Paul’s
Information about Occupy the Buffer Zone in Cyprus - history, present status, sharing experiences of Occupying the Buffer Zone and expectations for the future
Expecting an influx of people at the buffer zone in Cyprus in protest of the 4th of December census on the North side
Identifying ways to reach out to Greek Cypriots in UK who may be involved in this movement
Exchanging reasons why people attended the meeting
Potential places where workshops and events can take place: Hackney Cypriot community centre; booking rooms through Universities in London; Cypriot community centre in Wood Green
Brainstorming ideas for organising workshops/events: Ice breakers; film screenings followed by discussion (e.g., sharing an island documentary; national geographic wild: Cyprus); events aimed to increase socialising and networking

Need to think of a representative from this group in case of media coverage
“Campaign for one Cyprus”: Informing members of this group of the OBZ UK movement
People needed to take initiative to set up a blog for OBZ UK
Existing blog for OBZ Cyprus. Currently in greek but will be translated into turkish and english soon
